      <description>Yups server model and HPUX version??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;General procedure &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Load the system recovery tape in the tape drive.&lt;BR /&gt;2. Boot the system.&lt;BR /&gt;3. Interrupt the boot sequence by pressing Esc.&lt;BR /&gt;4. Select the tape drive you want to use, and then boot from it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;5. Allow the installation process to complete.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;To recognize tape from EFI type &lt;BR /&gt;EFI&amp;gt;reconnect â  r&lt;BR /&gt;And it would show the devices from where u can easily recognize &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;BR,&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Tinu,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Recovery / steps depends on the platform you have ( Check Server model RP / Rx etc)&lt;BR /&gt;Restoration concept is similar how ever the steps may differ.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if it RP/PARISC: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Insert the tape &lt;BR /&gt;Boot the system&lt;BR /&gt;Interrupt boot seqence to select other boot device.&lt;BR /&gt;(Search for the tape path &amp;amp; boot from the same.)&lt;BR /&gt;Select no interact with ISL&lt;BR /&gt;Allow install process to Complete. &lt;BR /&gt;---------------------------------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;IF Model is RX: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Simple option: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Boot from the OS media DVD from EFI.&lt;BR /&gt;Cancel the non interactive installtion when it ask for pressing return&lt;BR /&gt;Ignite ux "user interface" welcome sreen will be presented.&lt;BR /&gt;Check the "Media only installation" and "Guided installtion"&lt;BR /&gt;Media installation screen be will be presented.&lt;BR /&gt;Check "Boot from DVD , Recover from Tape option"&lt;BR /&gt;Choose the Tape drive and follow the steps for restoration.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;IInd option:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Check whether the Firmware supports the tape boot.&lt;BR /&gt;if yes select the Tape drive to boot from EFI ( if not present - go to EFI options and add new boot device )&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;Vipin&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>1. Make tape recovery &lt;BR /&gt;2. Insert the System Recovery tape into the tape drive. &lt;BR /&gt;3. Boot the system. &lt;BR /&gt;4. Interrupt the boot sequence to redirect it to the tape drive. &lt;BR /&gt;5. Cancel the non-interactive installation by hitting the &lt;RETURN&gt; key when the following messages are displayed: &lt;BR /&gt;WARNING: The configuration information calls for a non- interactive installation. &lt;BR /&gt;Press &lt;RETURN&gt; within 10 seconds to cancel batch-mode installation:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The "Ignite-UX Welcome" screen will be presented. Select the option: [ Select Install HP-UX ]&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;6. Select [ GO ] to proceed with the installation.( This will restore the system) 7. Re-mirror the root disk after restore.&lt;/RETURN&gt;&lt;/RETURN&gt;</description>
