      <title>Unable to Complete Ignite Backup</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am unable to complete my Ignite backup and it seems to have stopped progressing already at this line:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;NOTE: File: /var/tmp/tmp_cfg_file is not world-readable, this may cause clients to fail to read it during an installation.&lt;BR /&gt;NOTE: File: /var/tmp/tmp_cfg_file is not world-readable, this may cause clients to fail to read it during an installation.&lt;BR /&gt; * Writing boot LIF to tape&lt;BR /&gt; * Complete writing boot LIF onto tape.&lt;BR /&gt; * /opt/ignite/data/scripts/make_sys_image -c n -d /dev/rmt/4mn -t n -s local -n 2009-08-12,15:10 -m t -w&lt;BR /&gt; /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2009-08-12,15:10/recovery.log -u -R -g /var/opt/ignite/recovery/2009-08-12,15:10/flist -a 17909000&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; * Preparing to create a system archive.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; * Archiving contents of CCBPRO4 via tar image to local device /dev/rmt/4mn.&lt;BR /&gt;pax: stand/vmunix.mgr : I/O error&lt;BR /&gt;pax: stand/vmunix.mgr : An unexpected end-of-file has occurred.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;What is causing this error? I have tried almost everything. Cleaned the drive, replaced the media and even replacing the drive.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advise.&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;Check that your tape device can be accessed both reading and writting to /dev/rmt/4mn.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. Run mt -t /dev/rmt/4mn &lt;BR /&gt;2. /dev/rmt/4mn status&lt;BR /&gt;3. try and tar a file to /dev/rmt/4mn&lt;BR /&gt;4. check syslog for any IO / LVM Errors&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Possible reasons could be a failed tape, broken drive or just a bad disk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hth</description>

      <description>Most of the problem I experienced was that bad media or dirty driver as far. So, first try to clean driver and try a new tape.</description>
