when i try and back up our hp vm host to san disk attached to server it gives ther following error and i have tried a couple of tests from previous mails to no avail error is still same and not that discriptive.
the error is as below
fatal get_system_info failed to get IO information from IO listener.
save_config: Error - get_system_info failed to get IO information from IO listener.

the only thing it might be is that there are some disks that are unclaimed would this cause this error.

Yes, Ignite will check for all the volume Groups and there coresponding disks,

Becoz "It get get some information" about you existing Volume Group apart from vg00

Please update the Ignite-UX to the latest if not yet done.

Ignite only vg00.

# make_tape_recovery -a -v -x inc_entire=vg00

I had the same problem and resolved installing lastest version; by upgrading from C.7.5.142 to C.7.7.98. This version do NOT support 11.00 clients. But i use separe ignite server for my 11.00 clients.
