I am getting this error while trying to boot server to install OS from ignite -ux

Please check the following :
1) is the client and the server in the same subnet ?

2) if yes
main menu> SEARCH LAN INSTALL
is this returning the IP address of the server

3) If yes
do have the mac address(lan0 of the client) and IP address mapping in the instl_boottab file in the IUX server?

the ENTRY_INIT Status=-7 means there is no bootable media at the boot device specified. Boot device in your case is the ignite server. In which case it is either not configured correctly to act as an ignite server or this server and the client are in two separate subnets, and since UDP generally not allowed to cross network boundaries, you are unable to boot from lan.

On a third but less likely scenario, you might be trying to use a lan other than lan0 or your lan0 has bad hardware. Since you did not mention the specific hardware model of your machine, it is very hard to guess if there might be a lan0 and lanX confusion probability.

But I think you have a subnetting issue more likely than anything else.
