Hi HP-UX Gurus,

I just want to know whether we can install HP-UX 11.23 from Ignite Server which is on 11.11 and Visa Versa.

Shalom Mr.Right,

For a full Ignite server you need to do two things.

1) Install the module for the foreign operating system that ships with Ignite. Its on the Core OS in the Ignite section.

2) swcopy the Core OS DVD to the Ignite server (required for cold installs and golden image.

Not sure why you open several threads regarding the same question, but if you install all needed packages and software, yes - you can do this.
