Where would I set the actual file system sizes for a non-golden-image install of of HPUX? - so I don't have to actually keep changing the the default file system sizes everytime I do a cold install of HPUX 11.31...

There are a few possibilities. If you want to override the defaults for all clients on your server, use /var/opt/ignite/config.local. You can also create named configs in /var/opt/ignite/saved_configs/ or per client in /var/opt/ignite/clients/...

The first few paragraphs of instl_adm(4) talk about the different options.

You might change the /var/opt/ignite/data/Rel_B.11.31/core_cfg or (maybe better) create a new one and tell ignite to use it (in /var/opt/ignite/INDEX).

My 2 cents,
Armin

PS: Please assign points if you find answers useful!

Hi Dave..,

Can you please do a try by using command save_config to create config file.See man page for more info
It seems the SAVE AS option will come only when you do a install of client from the server using bootsys. I do not remeber exactly... But i belive this option is there.

Best of Luck

John
