      <description>Hi Bernie Medina,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;May I know the complete command that you've been used for make_recovery ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you using make_recovery command, need your help to attach the log file below :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/var/opt/ignite/logs/makrec.logXX&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;PS : please attach the latest one (check the timestamp)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you using make_tape_recovery command, need your help to attach the log file below :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/var/opt/ignite/recovery/latest/recovery.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;With these information, we can try to find out the problem and how to solve it.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks &amp;amp; Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;AW</description>

      <description>Shalom bernie,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Error 1 - using make_recovery, which is obsolete.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It is helpful to know the OS version, version if Ignite and command syntax used to further assist on your issue.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;swlist -l product | grep -i ignite&lt;BR /&gt;uname -a&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The error could be caused by an old version of VXVM, or LVM inconsistencies.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;SEP</description>

      <description>Hi Bernie Medina,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the info.&lt;BR /&gt;Looks like something wrong with the disk '/dev/dsk/c2t2d0' and this cause the make_recovery failed. See the error below from makrec.log1 :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvdisplay: Warning: couldn't query physical volume "/dev/dsk/c2t2d0":&lt;BR /&gt;The specified path does not correspond to physical volume attached to &lt;BR /&gt;this volume group&lt;BR /&gt;lvdisplay: Warning: couldn't query all of the physical volumes.&lt;BR /&gt;lssf: Must specify a special_file&lt;BR /&gt;usage: lssf special_file ...&lt;BR /&gt;save_config: error - unknown disk type for , not SCSI or HPFL&lt;BR /&gt;save_config: error - cannot determine root disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;So need you to check the particular disk with the command below :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lvlnboot -v&lt;BR /&gt;# ioscan -nfCdisk&lt;BR /&gt;# pvdisplay /dev/dsk/c2t2d0&lt;BR /&gt;# dd if=/dev/dsk/c2t2d0 of=/dev/null bs=1024k&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If the particular disk (/dev/dsk/c2t2d0) giving the NO_HW status (on ioscan), I/O error (on dd command), OR any other error; you need to replace this harddisk first.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;FYI, you have the completed one on Wed Mar  2 09:28:35 2005.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can attach the output of the commands above, so I can help you further to solve this.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If this problem solve, I refer you to update your Ignite/UX software so you can have the latest Ignite/UX software on your system (less bugs).       <description>Hi Bernie Medina,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes, the particular disk (c2t2d0) is missing from your system.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It looks the disk belong to vg00, check with the command below :&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# strings /etc/lvmtab&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you have HP support, please call them immediate. You need to replace this harddisk.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You can restore the OS with the tape from Wed Mar 2 09:28:35 2005 first and restore again from the latest available backup.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this information can help you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Cheers,&lt;BR /&gt;AW</description>
