If I use the '-I' seitch with the make_tape_recovery command, can I resize /stand and change the PE size when booting from the tape?

We are going to replace our 18GB OS drives with 36GB drives and the PE size will change from 4MB to 8MB. Plus /stand is grossly undersized and needs to be expanded.

Yes. THe '-I' option tells Ignite to force and Interactive session when you boot from the tape.

You can do this even if you don't use the '-I' switch by interrupting the IGNITE boot at the appropriate 10-second prompt.

I find the the '-I' option makes life a whole easier as I invariably miss the 10-second prompts at least once when doing these things.

Hi,

Yes while restoring in interactive mode you can change PE Size and file system sizes as done during fresh OS install.

HTH,
Devender
