    <description>Hi all:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for the replies&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;There is no link poiting to the directory :-(&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I checked the tape using tar for a listing of files. There were many files...not sure if everything is there....recovery.log does not have any further info than I had posted unfortunately. Any suggestions ?</description>

      <description>I am trying to a recoverable boot image from an rp7410. I am getting the error message &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Preparing to create a system archive&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  * Archiving contents of &lt;SERVER&gt; via tar image to local device/dev/rmt/0mn.&lt;BR /&gt;pax: example : Optional ACL entries are not backed up.&lt;BR /&gt;WARNING: The pax command returned a non-zero exit status (exit status 1)&lt;BR /&gt;       * Creation of system archive complete&lt;BR /&gt;NOTE:  The following files are in the list of files that were on the&lt;BR /&gt;       system, but they are no longer present.  These files are not&lt;BR /&gt;       included in the back-up:&lt;BR /&gt;       /var/opt/sanmgr/hostagent/log/SAM-HostAgent_165.log&lt;BR /&gt;       /var/tmp/ign_configure/make_sys_image.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;ERROR:   The make_sys_image command failed. The system recovery archive will &lt;BR /&gt;         not be created.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=======  07/26/05 13:25:31 EDT  make_tape_recovery completed unsuccessfully&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have tried to exclude the said directory (example) and infact it is not part of the root vol group which I am trying to backup. Any Suggestions ?&lt;/SERVER&gt;</description>

Can I believe that I have a working image aswell ? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks</description>

      <description>The "NOTE" regarding files not being present is not uncommon, but that normally produces a "completed with warnings" rather than a "completed unsuccessfully".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This will list the contents of the archive.&lt;BR /&gt;mt -t /dev/rmt/Xmn fsf 1&lt;BR /&gt;tar -tvf /dev/rmt/Xm&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you had the resources (hardware) your best bet would be to try to boot from it before counting on it to work in a pinch.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Did you check the complete recovery log to see if there were any other errors?&lt;BR /&gt;/var/opt/ignite/recovery/latest/recovery.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Jim</description>

      <description>&lt;BR /&gt;I had to remove the acl entry on the file it was complaining about and I was able to make a clean image. Thanks everyone for your help.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
