Hi all gurus.
I am facing with this error when recovery client via Ignite server (this error message appear at client console).

My ignite server version
[server1] swlist -l product|grep -i ignite
Ignite-UX B.5.4.50 HP-UX System Installation Services

on other server (same subnet) i can get opt/ignite/lib/libcfg.1 file
<>r tftp
tftp 10.0.0.99
tftp> get opt/ignite/lib/libcfg.1
Received 496578 bytes in 0.3 seconds

Hey,

Try this:

- Check that there is available IP address in /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab

- chmod 755 /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab

- Make sure that there is entry for tftp and instl_bootd in your /etc/inetd.conf

Hi,

I forgotted to refer that the IP in the etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab file must be a free and reserved IP, just used in this ignite recovery situations.

You should use a X Windows utility like Reflection because it can give you more clues about the issue.

One final question:

Are you recovering directly from the ignite server archive or did you put it to a tape before?

I used X manager for ignite in X window. Error is still happen:

Hi,

How is your Ignite client status (see this from Ignite server like in the picture in attach)?

Are you booting the Ignite client from the server??

Yes like your pic. It mean backup os is OK. but problem when install client from server GUI. Client can get IP (10.0.0.120) but error happend when client load fileNOTE: Retrying loadfile command...

Hi,

I noticed that your Ignite server /etc/opt/ignite/instl_boottab is different from mine. You have:

...
10.0.0.120:0x00306E2C8256:20050125080241:
10.0.0.121:::

And I have:

131.107.3.212:::

You subnet IP's all begin with 10.0 (subnet mask 255.255.0.0) or 10.0.0 (subnet mask 255.255.255.0)?

I intend to patch but when installing it report ERROR

Hi,

About the Ignite client and server, have they the same OS version? Check thread http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/forums/questionanswer.do?threadId=186751 : you may have to install the Ignite for all HP-UX version...
