Please don't say to upgrade. This is on a US Navy Submarine & can't change yet. Using the Ignite recovery tape to restore an image on the J282 server using HO 10.20 OS, keep getting message: pax_iux:sbin/%pax_iux: Text file busy and pax_iux:sbin/%sh: Text file busy. It would ask to push a shell. A no would just boot to our old image. A yes would give a quick msg saying to look for ERROR in /opt/ignite/clients/0x#### but I can't find that directory. The yes also gives a prompt but doesn't seem to take any commands. what could cause this to happen? We have used this product for many years now and never had this happen before. Any build changes have only been minor script changes, but no changes to any products. Any help would really be appreciated as the Navy uses these tapes to recover their system if they lose a hard drive. Let's support our sailors!! :-) Thanks!

Answer yes to push a shell
and at the prompt enter

exit 2

if this does not help I guess you need to use a different recovery tape.

Regards,
Bernhard

Just so everyone knows (or if anyone cares), we found our problem to be 3 files that somehow were left in /sbin by the Ignite process. The files were %cat, %pax_iux and %sh. If you remove these files before making a new image (we actually just moved them to another name first), then the Ignite process is happy as a clam. Then doing the restore, there is no error. We don't know why the Ignite process all of a sudden decided to leave us this "gift" of three files, but they were there and they really messed us up. So, it wasn't a link as the description seemed to indicate. Anyway, the submarine fleet will be happy and I'm estatic. Thanks for the responses. I really did appreciate it for this old product version. Anchors Aweigh! :-)
