Ignite 5.3 on 11 server, swcopy through server setup errors

Hi

Setting up a new ignite server running 11.00 and Ignite 5.3 - when I swcopy from cd to the depot through the ignite gui, it fails to select software that has multiple hardware versions.

Does anyone know how to get around it, without going through and trying to install each one manually?

Your are copying "through the ignite GUI" ..?

Have you tried a direct 'swcopy' cmd from the CD to a depot without using ignite?

Hi Claire,
Ignite GUI and swcopy has no relation. swcopy can never be executed in GUI mode except you run swinstall in GUI.
Well the proper swcopy command is as :

# swcopy -s PHxx_yyyy @ /var/spool/sw

where is your depot file for e.g. if it is PHCO_2660.depot and it reside in /tmp then the command would be:

#swcopy -s /tmp/PHCO_2660.depot PHCO_2660 @ /var/spool/sw

You can set up the initial depots for ignite through the server setup. It runs the swcopy.

I will try installing the missing software manually.
