Well as in all upgrades, plan it carefully.

Make sure you have good backups, Ignite images etc.
Read the Installing and Upgrading HP-UX 11.11 manual at http://docs.hp.com

Upgrade one node at a time, and ServiceGuard will still be there unless you specifically remove it. There is no need to upgrade ServcieGuard as part of this procedure, unless you wish to move to a newer version of SG, e.g. 11.13.
HP do support a mixed cluster of 11.00 and 11.i with eServiceGuard version 11.09, so you will NOT be in the middle of a rolling upgrade, and if you do want to upgrade SG to 11.13, do it once the OS upgrades are completed, tested and working.

HTH
Hi all,

I have to upgrade from 11.00 to 11i (11.11) on a V2500 and a N4000. My question is if I have to upgrade or change anything in the ServiceGuard. I'm not sure if, after the upgrade, the cluster will be still running.

The version of MC/ServiceGuard is A.11.09

Manel.
