It appears you may be running an older version of Ignite. I'm running B.3.502 under 11.11. Perhaps you should remove your current installation and reinstall.

Hi,

I want to add a new client to my Ignite server, but I get the message:

swinstall(1M) failed to install recovery tools from: "host:/var/opt/ignite/depots/recovery_cmds"
and then:

Unable to set up de client directory for the system: "host".

I had never had this error. I've seen that in the Ignite server:
swlist | grep Ignite

B5725AA B.3.4.115 HP-UX Installation Utilit
ies (Ignite-UX)
Ignite-UX-11-11 B.3.4.115 HP-UX Installation Utilities for Installing 11.11 Systems

but in client:

B5725AA B.3.5.89 HP-UX Installation Utilities (Ignite-UX)
Ignite-UX-11-11 B.3.5.89 HP-UX Installation Utilities forInstalling 11.11 Systems

Any idea?.

Thanks in advance.

I'd try unintalling the Ignite software on the client and then rerunning your install. Ignite is very particular about having the same version on both the server and client.

Xavier,

Have you tried to upgrade your ignite server to the latest release of ignite? Plus once you have done that, check for patches using the custom patch manager.

live free or die
harry
