Ignite-UX patch bundles

I would like to push various patch bundles out to different workstations on the network. I have gone through the steps of creating and verifying the bundles but I'm not clear as to the specific steps to push that bundle out to a specific box on the network. There is quite a bit of info on new installs and recovery procedures but these machines already have OS's, they only need patches.

My understanding is that you can not do what you want to do. You can install new patch bundles as a post installation task after installing the OS on a box. I know of no way of just pushing out new patches to a box via Ignite without reinstalling the OS.

A product you might want to take a look at, although according to the web page it is being, or already has been, discontinued and the web page does not mention the replacement product, is Openview Software Distributor. I think this will do what you require.

Hi Patrick,
I just tried telnetting to the client and performing a swinstall -s host:depot_location depot name and that works fine. I was under the impression that Ignite also provided that functionality, oh well!
Is HP doing away with SD altogether or just within OpenView support?

Without Software Distributor "push" ability (one of the additional functionality in the old OpenView dist.) You have to contact the clients and have them pull. For example:
