Hi All,

My xterm emulator (X Manager) works on my two HPUX 11.00 server except from the one HPUX server? I knew that there is a hpux command that will create a log so that you can trace what is the problem between xterm emulator and hpux. Honestly I forgot this command, Please help me.

Thanks.

Well, that tool is called xscope, and you can find it on the web.

However, You probably do not have up to date XLIB/XServer patches on the system it is not working on.

Either that or CDE patches (with fonts) missing.

Test server display with xset

xset q

on all servers and compare.

Later,
Bill

1. Check on your problem server that the dtlogin process is running.

2.Your Xemulator should have it's own log file or trace facility. Exceed and ReflectionsX both do.

3.Next thing to check would be networking : ensure your pc ip address and hostname resolve ok on the hpux server and vice versa.

4.Font's maybe a problem but your other boxes seem OK so I wouldn't go down that path unless you see some specific font related errors.
