Another way would be to have the system administrator create a setuid C-code wrapper for exactly the command needed.       <description>I would say you are pretty much out of luck then.  &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you cannot work with your Unix admins to get this information then there is not much that can be done.</description>

      <description>Hi, James/Patrick,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes, totally agree with you.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;But HP should change hpvminfo to the same as machinfo that is the command for everyone can run to get the system info.</description>
