INstalling Integrity VM 4.2

I have a problem during installation of Integrity VM 4.2 Bundle

The output of preinstallation check is attached

So main reason as i Understood is to uninstal temporary version of Integrity VM. Unfortunately I don't know how to do it

Try removing with swremove and install the VM again.

I think u already had earlier veriosn on HPVM installed on the server.
Was it there?which version?

Don't just remove, check what is there before removing.

That helped a bit. But still there are some errors with dependences. Unfortunately I don't know where to obtain
"HPVM.HPVM-CORE,r>=B.04.20.02,a=HP-UX_B.11.31*"

Any Ideas?

were there any previous installation of HPVM on this machine.
or you screwed up the recent fresh installation.

if you have old version installed
remove it with

# swremove -x autoreboot=true T2801AA vmProvider
# rm -rf /opt/hpvm
# rm -rf /opt/hpvmprovider

where
T2801AA Contains:
Integrity Virtual Machines (HP-UX 11i v2 VM Host)
Integrity Virtual Machines (HP-UX 11i v3 VM Host)
Integrity Virtual Machines V4.1 (HP-UX 11i v3 VM Host)

So you may have to be very specific which was earlier version installed.

I have swremove'd the packages and rm'd the dirs.
Do I need to install vmProvider ant T2801 without any precautions ?

I have installed VMProvider and installation was successfull

bash-4.1# swinstall -x autoreboot=true -s /IVM/VMProvider_B.04.20_HP-UX_B.11.31_IA.depot

I was trying to install T2801 bundle but during preinstallation checks there were errors. So I stopped installation. The log file is attached

HPVMprovider is not mandatory and is optional to enable SIM.

Could you post the o/p of the following commands,
#uname -a
#model

Also attach the installation log in .txt format

Can you post following o/p from the system:
#swlist | grep VM

Above command will give list of installed bundles related to Integrity VM.

Can you check the version of "HP WBEM" available on your server.It seems like the WBEM version is lower than the requirements.

Hi,

I dont think you should be facing issues, if you follow the installation configuration manual proplerly. Its dependency error

Could you please check the second chapter of installation and configuration guide.

HPUX11i-DC-OE B.11.31.0909 HP

Below is operating system requirement:

HP-UX 11i v3 March 2010 running on an Integrity server, as well as any appropriate
software patches (see the HP Integrity Virtual Machines 4.2: Release Notes). The license for
Integrity VM includes the license for running the HP-UX 11i v3 Base Operating
Environment (BOE) on the VM Host system.

system is running with HP-UX 11i v3 September 2009.

HP Integrity Virtual Machines B.04.20 is supported on HP-UX 11i v3 March 2010 1003.
