Note the bootpath (from vparstatus), shut down all vPars, reset the system, stop at BCH, boot from the path (see above), interact with ISL and boot vmunix directly:

ISL> hpux /stand/vmunix

Hello
Sarfraj,

to be more clear please note that NPAR mode and VPAR mode are 2 different terms applicable to the Integrity SDs. You are having a PARISC SD.
For IA SDs you shall get in the model string as ia superdome ....

In case you wish booting the other VPAR from the MON simply do as suggested in earlier post as

MON> vparload <OTHER_VPAR>

In case you want to boot the VPMON from the other VPAR and then boot that VPAR, Make sure that you have the boot path information of the other VPAR that is down right now and that the Boot path of that VPAR has got ability to boot the VPMON.

choose from the ISL the Boot path of the other VPAR and once in ISL of that boot path

ISL> boot /stand/vpmon

with the MON booted

MON> vparload <OTHER_VPAR>

In case you want to boot the other VPAR in standalone mode, shutdown the current VPAR, reboot the NPAR, in BCH do a "search", locate the boot path of the second VPAR.

BCH MAin MEnu> boot <PATH_OF_SECOND_VPAR>

Interact with ISL ;; yes

once in ISL,

ISL>boot /stand/vmunix.

the changing of mode that is VPAR-NPAR or NPAR-VPAR is applicable in case of Integrity SDs wherein you have to set the mode earlier using the command
#vparenv -m vPars OR
#vparenv -m nPars

as the mode you wish booting the system.

regards
sujit</PATH_OF_SECOND_VPAR></OTHER_VPAR></OTHER_VPAR>
