      <description>Hi Daniel,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; Conflicting Device has device address - bus 0, dev 0, func 0, target 1, lun 0.&lt;BR /&gt;Yes, the device address is already being used and hence allocated to another&lt;BR /&gt;disk.When the new disk also refers to the same address, a conflict is reported.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Using the hpvmmodify command for the new disk should solve the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Murali</description>

      <description>Hi Daniel,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From the output you have provided,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;SINFRA94:/&amp;gt; hpvmstatus -p1&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt;...&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; disk avio_stor 0 0 0 1 0 disk /dev/rdsk/c39t1d2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The combination of bus=0,dev=0,func=0,target=1,lun=0 is already allocated&lt;BR /&gt;to the device "/dev/rdsk/c39t1d2". Hence when you try to assing the same &lt;BR /&gt;values to a different device "/dev/rdsk/c35t2d3" using hpvmmodify, you&lt;BR /&gt;are getting the following error -&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; | ERROR | SAPL909 | root | Conflicting Device has device address&lt;BR /&gt;&amp;gt;&amp;gt; - bus 0, dev 0, func 0, target 1, lun 0.&lt;BR /&gt;This is the cause for the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to give the hpvmmodify command for the device "/dev/rdsk/c35t2d3"&lt;BR /&gt;with its corresponding values for bus,dev,func,target,lun.&lt;BR /&gt;This should solve the problem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Murali</description>

      <description>disk avio_stor 0 0 0 1 0 disk /dev/rdsk/c39t1d2&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;is the disk which causes this problem &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;you logon to guest machine and find out this disk  from ioscan output&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this disk will  be as like&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;c0t1d0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;find out which vg have this disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;umount mount points which are comes under this&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport -p -m /tmp/vgname.map vgname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;take details of all pvs whiech are comes under this vg&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a n vgname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgexport&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;remove this from guest using hpvmmodify&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;add your new disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;trace disk in vmguest&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;add your old disk&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;trace out in guest&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vgimport -v -m /tmp/vgname.map vgname pvs...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if it gives error&lt;BR /&gt;simply vgimport -v vgname pvs...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;this will solve your problem &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Chandra&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
