      <description>Hello Gurus,&lt;BR /&gt;I have installed Trial bundle of HPVM (T2801AA)&lt;BR /&gt;.Now I am able to create a VM but not able to attach a dvd drive in that.&lt;BR /&gt;Its gettin attached but from EFI prompt m unable to see it.&lt;BR /&gt;all devices in EFI prompt are blk , none fs.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;second I played a bit with one disk(made and remove vg,lv etc) and now when m trting to add it to any VM its saying device is used by server.&lt;BR /&gt;What to do??&lt;BR /&gt;Need ur help.&lt;BR /&gt;BR&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>For DVDs:&lt;BR /&gt;must have DVD inserted when presenting this device, or present it as a null device then use in and ej commands from VM console.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Disk:&lt;BR /&gt;to make changes to a backingstore after it has been presented it must be un-presented and re-presented.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hpvmdevmgmt -l gdev will show you the backingstore info.  Or hpvmstatus -P Vname&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>i have deleted that guest (so wont be able to provide hpvmstatus -v) ...and creatd it several times....but disk was not recognizing in EFI prompt.&lt;BR /&gt;EVEN windows 2003 was saying device busy..&lt;BR /&gt;and HPUX cd saying unrecoznised file system.&lt;BR /&gt;Now dvd drive has some physical problem.&lt;BR /&gt;Can i use USB DVD drive with HPUX11.23 now.&lt;BR /&gt;BR.&lt;BR /&gt;Kapil+</description>

      <description>IMHO the best solution is to create a virtual null DVD and "insert" the ISO image into the drive via the vMPs "insert" command.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;From manual:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;"...&lt;BR /&gt;you can set up a Virtual NullDVD to a file system directory containing the&lt;BR /&gt;ISO files that the guest administrator wants to access. This resource statement would take the&lt;BR /&gt;following form:&lt;BR /&gt;dvd:scsi::null:/pathname&lt;BR /&gt;Where /pathname is the file system directory where the ISO files are located."&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;see chapter&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;7.2.2.3.5 Virtual FileDVDs</description>
