We have an rx2620 we need to migrate to a vpar on an itanium sx2000 superdome. We tried loading vpars on the rx but that model doesn't support vpars. One way is to bring the npar down on the superdome and switch from vpar to npar mode and restore the image there using ignite but we have 5 other vpar systems running on the npar. Does anyone know a different way?

Thanks,

Bob

Hi Bob,

you may consider to install all needed software (e.g. icod) and drivers to current versions, take an ignite backup and restore this backup *together* with the vPar depot as additional software to the vpar.

I'm not very familiar with the ignite process. Can you give a little more detail on where in the process we can select the vpar software?

Thanks,

Bob
