    <description>when i use vgdisplay to check box, i find something :&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay: Cannot display volume group "/dev/oradatvg20".&lt;BR /&gt;vgdisplay: Volume group not activated.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;so i use vgchange to repair ,but there is something wrong :&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange -a y /dev/oradatvg20&lt;BR /&gt;vgchange: Activation mode requested for the volume group "/dev/oradatvg20" conflicts with configured mode.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what should i do ?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Is your VG is within the cluster? If yes, you need to deactivate it from the cluster first:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# vgchange -c n /dev/oradatvg20&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then activate it by:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# vgchange -a y /dev/oradatvg20&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope this helps.&lt;BR /&gt;Kenny.</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If your disks are either part of a &lt;BR /&gt;cluster or even a SAN (Storage Area&lt;BR /&gt;Network) it can take a very long &lt;BR /&gt;time depending on the dnumber of &lt;BR /&gt;paths and LUN's it needs to check.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Michael</description>

      <description>Let it be ... Let it be&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That Vg is being used by the fellow box..&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;DO:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;cmviewcl to see then conf. of your cluster.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Then go to active box and type vgdisplay.&lt;BR /&gt;Do not try to change configured access to that vg, at least, until you were more experienced.</description>
