Firmware update question

Hello,

I have an older HP managed switch

Model: HP Switch 5406zl (J8697A)

Current Firmware Version: K.15.16.0005, ROM K.15.30
Latest available Firmware Version: K.16.02.0035

My question is when I am able to and/or should upgrade to the latest firmware version in one step, or given that the current version is quite a few versions back, if I should update the firmware in multiple steps.

Any advice or helpful experience will be greatly appreciated.
