    <description>You said, ftp &lt;IP&gt; was given you timed out from your normal PC.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;That means, your FTP ports are not opened.  Check your system, whether ports are opened for communication.  Was there any logs recorded related to ftp?&lt;/IP&gt;</description>

      <description>dear experts,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Currenlty our company have 2 server.&lt;BR /&gt;Server DL380G7 install with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 and another server RX6600 install HP-UX 11.31.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now the problem was I cannot ftp from Rx6600 to DL380. Ping both server can, got reply.&lt;BR /&gt;If i ftp from linux to Hp-ux can ftp but from Hp-Ux to linux cannot ftp.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How to solve this problem?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please advised.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks.</description>

      <description>Check your Linux system, whether Port 21 is opened or not. Examine your /etc/services file.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Have you tried to ftp from your desktop ( windows machine ) to Linux server ?</description>

      <description>&lt;!--!*#--&gt;"Cannot FTP" is not a useful problem&lt;BR /&gt;description.  It does not say what you did.&lt;BR /&gt;It does not say what happened when you did&lt;BR /&gt;it.  As usual, showing actual commands with&lt;BR /&gt;their actual output can be more helpful than&lt;BR /&gt;vague descriptions or interpretations.</description>

      <description>it works at "normal pc" but not from&lt;BR /&gt;an HP-UX system, the HP-UX system can ftp to another hp ux system (server).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;normal pc can ftp to linux&lt;BR /&gt;normal pc can ftp to hp ux&lt;BR /&gt;hp ux server can ftp to another hp ux server.&lt;BR /&gt;linux server can ftp to hp ux server but&lt;BR /&gt;hp ux server cannot ftp to linux server&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

Can you paste the output?  Later you said, possible from PC to Linux, but not possible from HP-UX to Linux.  Can you paste the output ?&lt;/IP&gt;</description>
