    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have a problem in my storage EVA.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i created a LUN on my EVA.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;it seems that the physical volume has a problem but until now i didn't know why? and how can we resolve? .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;the physical volume is a LUN created on 5000 EVA and presented to rp 4400 server. from ioscan command i can see two paths to this Vdisk.(it is normal situation)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but when i try the commands i received the message"unable to read the physical volume"&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;my steps is as follows: -pvcreate /dev/disk/disk14 -mkdir /dev/vg01 -mknod /dev/vg01/group c 64 0x020000 -vgcreate /dev/vg01 /dev/disk/disk14 ----&amp;gt; error:unable to read the physical volume&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;any help please?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Check the LUN on the disk array and make sure you have it set appropriately for your OS version (it should probably be set to HP-UX mode and NOT Windows&amp;nbsp; on the EVA).&lt;/P&gt;</description>
