console login

I need to disallow root login except at the console. I looked in
/etc/default/login but hey.. there is no file called "login" there. My
Suns/Solaris servers as do my Ultrix servers have it there. So is this a HP-UX
thing or is this system that was handed down to me messed up. If not, please
where is it so I can get the firewall/security guys of my back. This is on a
series 700 ver. 10.20 Thanks in advance. Shawn

You need to put the word "console" in the file /etc/securetty. This is
documented in "man login".

I totally spaced the MAN page. Thanks. Maybe if MAN pages were like VMS help
pages.....!
