    <description>Dear Yogeeraj!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Yes, I have already shared a folder on windows machine and cifsclient is also up and running on HP machine.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;but when I try to use cifsmount, system asks for&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Remote user root's password: &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;and when I enter windows admin password it says&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Logging in User: Dos: Access denied.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;what should I do now?</description>

      <description>Now I've installed CIFS server/client and my HP machine is acting as a domain member of windows 2003 server domain. I can access shares of HP machine from windows 2003 server but how can I access/mount a shared drive of windows system from HP machine.</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Assuming that you have already shared a folder on your windows machine, you wil have to do the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/opt/cifsclient/bin/cifsmount //myserver.domain.mu/myshare /mnt/mymount_point -u windows_user -p password_for_windows_user&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Note that the CIFS client daemon must be running. if not so, do the following:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1. modify /etc/rc.config.d/cifsclient&lt;BR /&gt;  (set the value to 1)&lt;BR /&gt;2. /sbin/init.d/cifsclient start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;hope this helps!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;kind regards&lt;BR /&gt;yogeeraj&lt;BR /&gt; cifsclient start</description>

      <description>After checking the cifsmount help -U(capital) is used to specify username and -P(capital) is used to specify password.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Now system doesn't ask for the password and print the following messege &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Connecting Share: DOS: Access Denied&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;waiting for reply&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Hadzon</description>
