Hello all,
I am using HPUX 11.0 on a B2600 box.I have dhcp server (on a Windows 2003 Server) turned on and once the hp system boots it picks up an IP address and stores this info in the netconf and hosts files. Once the IP address is stored in these files, it does not change. When I restart my hp box, I get an error message:

"The dhcpclient was refused an extension for the current lease. The system must cease using dhcp for management of the network interface. Please contact your Network administrator for asistance. Do you wish to halt the system now?"

I select "n" and after startup my dhcp server lists an entry for the IP address of the unix box and mac address, but does not show a hostname and it always picks up the same IP address that is stored previously in the netconf and hosts files.

Thank you.
