    <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;remove the lan5 and lan11 configure from the /etc/rc.config.d/hpgelanconf and then add the new entries in the hpigenlanconf.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;restart the server and check the rc.log again...&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;GOOD LUCK!</description>

It is a igelan device.&lt;BR /&gt;"/sbin/rc2.d/S308hpgelan start" FAILED&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Abstract from dmesg&lt;BR /&gt;igelan11: INITIALIZING HP A6847-60101 PCI 1000Base-SX Adapter at hardware path 1/0/6/0/0&lt;BR /&gt;igelan5: INITIALIZING HP A6847-60101 PCI 1000Base-SX Adapter at hardware path 0/0/6/0/0&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Message from /etc/rc.log&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;----------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;Initializing Network Tracing and Logging...&lt;BR /&gt;Done. &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Configure HP igelan Gigabit Ethernet interfaces&lt;BR /&gt;Output from "/sbin/rc2.d/S305hpigelan start":&lt;BR /&gt;----------------------------&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;both lan5 and lan11 are claimed in ioscan output.       <description>Hello Warren,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thank You very much for the quick response and also for the information provided.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I have checked the file, lan5 and lan11 are present in /etc/rc.config.d/hpgelan. After making the modifications in /etc/rc.config.d/hpgelan and /etc/rc.config.d/hpigelan. Without rebooting the server, if i run /sbin/init.d/hpgelan start and /sbin/init.d/hpigelan start will that work, because I don't want to reboot the server.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Ravi.</description>
