when iam telneting to localhost from a direct console
its giving message

memory fautl (coredum)

the problem is from direct console the operating system is working but when i try from client its not going to connect
could you plz give me answer iam waiting of answer

this kind of problem basically from /etc/host file
in this file their is a entry called as
localhost 127.0.0.1 loopback
then it will work
otherwise this error will come

Hi,

The localhost entry is must and should not be removed from the hosts file. It may start giving other problems apart from this if the entry is removed.

check /etc/hosts file has this entry?

127.0.0.1 localhost loopback
