    <description>it seems the vxvm bundle is not installed by default during the OS installation, hence the issue. &lt;BR /&gt;issue resolved after re-installing the OS with selection vxvm marked as required (which was "not required" by default).&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

But check if it works for you&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# Configure vxvm so we don't have to run vxinstall ==&amp;gt; do below&lt;BR /&gt;rm -rf /etc/vx/reconfig.d/state.d/install-db&lt;BR /&gt;vxiod set 10&lt;BR /&gt;vxconfigd -m disable&lt;BR /&gt;vxdctl init&lt;BR /&gt;vxdctl initdmp&lt;BR /&gt;vxdctl enable&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Sooraj&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>What does swlist show?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# swlist -l files | grep vxinstall&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It should come with the depot. If the above command gives a result, run vxinstall with the full path.</description>
