      <description>Shalom,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;How those numbers get assigned is something of a mystery.       <description>Ciao,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if I understand fine you need to change the lan instance number and not to reinstall the entire lan driver.&lt;BR /&gt;I changed lan instance number successfully in the past with the procedure in the following document:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;UTRANKBRC00017098 - How To Change lan Instance numbers in HPUX&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I hope you can access to ITRC knowledge base. You need the ioconfig_dump tool.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Best regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Fabio</description>
