lvmattachd
Introduced a new kernel daemon which will keep track of NOT_ATTACHED PVs (* Alternate PV links *)and attach them to the VG as soon as they become accessible. This will avoid the need to reactivate.

so this daemon is keeping a watch on the PV links ..are there two many on this machine.

As you said no errors for any HW path switching doesn`t looks like a potential issue so far .

But it is constant 3 % CPU usage & how are
you measuring that top /glance.

Any lvm patching done on this.

Thanks
Manix
lvmattached is using 3% of CPU time on a relatively quiet system. I am using PVLINKS on this and other systems. This is the only system that is showing lvmattachd as high CPU, even though it is a quieter system than the others. No errors in syslog, EMS, etc. All VG's and Physical volumes are showing no problems. I know this is not high, but I'm concerned that this may be masking a potential issue.
OS is HPUX 11.11
