Vxfs Version problem in Importing the Vg

We are facing an issue in importing the VG.
When we imported the VG in My HP-UX 11iv3 Machine name it for sake i.e. UNIX2 it is imported but while mounting it is showing some error listed below

bash-3.00# mount -F vxfs /dev/sapdevrmandump/sapdevrmandump /sapdevrmandump

vxfs mount: V-3-20013: unrecognized vxfs version number

vxfs mount: V-3-24996: Unable to get disk layout version

*************************************
# fstyp -v /dev/sapdevrmandump/sapdevrmandump

unknown_fstyp (no matches)

while running fstyp on other filesystem
# fstyp -v /dev/vg_mcci/softora10

vxfs

version: 4

Now i cross check with the machine from where i imported the VG name it UNIX1

fstyp -v /dev/vg_sapdevrmandump/sapdevrmandump
vxfs
version: 7

Now is there any method i can use this VG VXFS version 4

Do a man on vxupgrade.

HP-UX 11.31 uses version 7 Layout.

vxupgrade - upgrade the disk layout of a mounted VxFS file system

But my file system is not mounted yet .

Strange... I thought VxFS on 11iv3 could recognise DLV4... it would seem not for you here... what version of VxFS do you have on the 11iv3 box?

swlist | grep -i jfs

You could I suppose also try the vxupgrade on the older box - what OS version is that? I think 11iv1 supported DLV5 with VxFS3.5

A quick google seems to indicate you might get VG is not activated correctly. What is the output of:

vgdisplay sapdevrmandump

On the 11.31 system
