hi all

has anyone dealt with f5 load balancers? we seem to be having alot of latency with https when the f5s are in the middle of the cloud, but we connect fast without them

thx in advance
Hi Pasquale,

We use F5 devices & have not seen any latency issues. But I'm not sure if we have any https traffic through them.
I'd suspect that the latency in that type traffic is probably due to the SSL requests it needs. I'd check the network traffic between the F5 device & whatever proxy system is handling those keys.

HTH,
Jeff

Depending on what type of f5 equipment you are running you might take a look at the SSL accelerator they sell as an add on option.
