Hi,

How do I check if my UX server has an NIC problem?

I have 4 servers (1 DB + 3 Apps running SAP) connected together. 1 of the apps server refused connection and I am not able to telnet into it.

As the servers are also connected via a 'private' net (via a separate NIC), I am able to rlogin to it.

Using rlogin, I managed to reboot the server and it's up & running.

How do I find out what happened? What logs can I look at?

Sorry - I'm not very familiar with UX. :(

hi,

first of all, you can query your interface by running Glance plus and going to "NETWORK BY INTERFACE" (press l)

To check your hardware, you can run Stm and query the status of the NICs.

You may also check your syslog.log which is found in /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log

Thanks for the reply.

The /var/adm/syslog/syslog.log didn't show any error.

The server does not have GlancePlus installed so I'm not able to use it.
