Unresolved symbol error on start up of app

I am getting several unresoved symbol messages when trying to start Tivoli on my B160L running hpux 11.0
Unresolved symbol: $global$
Unresolved symbol: _dld_list
and an Unresolved module for symbol: _shlinit
Any idea how I resolve these issues? The system comes up cleanly for everything else, it's just trying to start the Tivoli oserv that generates these messages.

Hi:

The first thing to do is run ldd on your executable. That will tell you where the program is looking for the libraries. You can then set SHLIB_PATH or LD_LIBRARY_PATH to load the appropriate libraries. Man ldd for details.

Hi,

I would suggest you to load all the patches needed for your application. "Unresolved symbol" errors are normally solved by applying the specific patches.

Hi,
Looking to your error it seems that

1.set the correct path as clay explained.

2. You need to install required latest patches on your system. After applying the required patches, it has been observed many times that the problems get resolved.
