syslog peer died errors

Sorry. It is a telnet connection abnormally teminating. I can get more information by turning on extended inetd logging. I will investigate further. Thank you.

You are right. You have to turn on inetd log.

#inetd -l

Then only you can find out that who is logging , from where he is logging and when it is getting disconnected.
