you do not know you have a performance problem unless you collect data.

Measureware (performance Agent) is the de-facto tool for collecting data on the system.

You can use the extract command to extract measureware data which will show you the data that was being collected.

There is a very good performance white paper for tuing the performance of HPUX enclosed
