      <title>Mirroring root partition</title>

      <description>We will be doing a disk mirroring in one of the HP Servers in STC. Kindly advise if the attached procedure is correct.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Iâ  m having problem trying to identify which volume group will be used for the root, boot, swap and dump. So I was not able to complete the procedure for this part:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# lvextend â  r&lt;BR /&gt;# lvextend â  b&lt;BR /&gt;# lvextend â  s&lt;BR /&gt;# lvextend â  d&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Attached is the RMS Server disk info for your reference.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Robert Peregrin&lt;BR /&gt;BTC Networks&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>note that the procedure for root disk mirroring is different for parisc and itanium.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;your root disk volume group is vg00</description>

      <description>Yes the root partition is vg00.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Is there a command to verify if the server is parisc or itanium?</description>

      <description>what is your server model&lt;BR /&gt;post the output of &lt;BR /&gt;model and uname -a&lt;BR /&gt;if ur model starts with RPxxxx then its pa-risc if RXxxxx then itanium.</description>
