      <description>Hi Gurus,&lt;BR /&gt;    I am having an Hp rx7640 server running hp-ux11.23 os.Now I just want to confirm the steps to extend the filesystem.Please help.i am giving the steps below.pls tell me if there is any error.&lt;BR /&gt;Existing Fs size is 50GB.I want to make it 100GB.SO what will be the size I have to give with lvextend command??&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Create PV,&lt;BR /&gt; #ioscan -fnC disk&lt;BR /&gt; #pvcreate  /dev/rdsk/cxtxdx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Extend the existing VG,&lt;BR /&gt; #vgextend vgsapdata1 /dev/dsk/cxtxdx&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Extend the LV,&lt;BR /&gt; #lvextend -L xxxM /dev/vgsapdata1/lvsapdata1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Unmount the FS,&lt;BR /&gt; #umount /db2/PBI/sapdata1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Extending the FS,&lt;BR /&gt; #extendfs -F vxfs /dev/vgsapdata1/rlvsapdata1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mount the extended FS,&lt;BR /&gt; #mount /db2/PBI/sapdata1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lvextend -L 102400 /dev/vgsapdata1/lvsapdata1&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;1GB = 1024 MB so if you like to have a 100 GB you need to multiply this value.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;mikap</description>
