    <description>Is the LUn writeable?&lt;BR /&gt;try doing:&lt;BR /&gt;dd if=/stand/vmunix of=/dev/rdsk/c6t0d2&lt;BR /&gt;bs=1024k count=100&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If that fails, then there is a problem with the LUN.&lt;BR /&gt;If it works, try doing the pvcreate command again</description>

      <description>Hi! &lt;BR /&gt;I'm trying to mount a lun from storage, but i've got an error when i run pvcreate:&lt;BR /&gt;=========&lt;BR /&gt;# pvcreate -f /dev/rdsk/c6t0d2&lt;BR /&gt;pvcreate: Error: Couldn't read LVMREC for the physical volume "/dev/rdsk/c6t0d2".&lt;BR /&gt;[Error: -1]&lt;BR /&gt;=========&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;i tried to do this via SMH - with same result.       <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;--&lt;BR /&gt;State UNOPEN &lt;BR /&gt;--&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;You need to have a look at the configuration of the lun on the Sun San.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards,&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan</description>

      <description>melvyn burnard:&lt;BR /&gt;# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/c6t0d2 bs=1024k count=100&lt;BR /&gt;I/O error &lt;BR /&gt;2+0 records in&lt;BR /&gt;1+1 records out&lt;BR /&gt;Robert-Jan Goossens:&lt;BR /&gt;I suspect the lun is presented to other port, that's not visible for OS:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;=======&lt;BR /&gt;1/0/6/1/0.5.6.255.0.0.2&lt;BR /&gt;1/0/14/1/0.5.6.255.0.0.2  c6t0d2&lt;BR /&gt;c5t0d2  unused  -  2  400.0 GB  SUN LCSM100_F&lt;BR /&gt;=======&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Only two paths are here, but should be four, i think. I'l try to look at the storage config and check the cables.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Thanks for answers!</description>
