We are about to deploy these same cards.

Can you please update us on what happened?

Were you indeed set for auto-neg on the UNIX side?

Thanks!
Has anyone experienced problems using the A9748A 2GB FC/G-Enet (copper) combo adapters with either HP-UX11.11 on PA-RISC or 11.23 on Itanium? We have the same adapters installed on multiple systems on the same VLAN all talking to CISCO Gig-E switches. The LAN interfaces are set to 1G auto-negotiation on both servers and switches. We are seeing intermitant times where network access to the systems become s dog slow. Network team's monitoring shows we are dropping 25% of the packets on one of the systems. Nettl trace shows events where the the server thinks the the network cable has been disconnected. When this happens, telnet/ssh sessions hang and X Windows sessions abort.
We are currently trying to identify patches and am also trying to see if we can force Gig-E interface to full duplex much like you can do 100MB. (SAM gives you the impression that this can be done, but the config files don't.)

Thank you in advance

All the network infrastructure is new and certified - CAT5E, new patch cables, switches, etc.

We have been igniting the systems from the eith the June 04 or December 04 CD's and then ran patch analysis on the systems with the past 3 months.
