topic adding new entry to /etc/rpc in Operating System - HP-UX

adding new entry to /etc/rpc

Hi,

I have added a new entry to /etc/rpc but when I check with "rpcinfo -s" I dont see any entry for that.

I am using HPUX 11.23 on rp4310. Could someone help me to understand what am I missing here?

How did you add the enrty into /etc/rpc ? Have you followed the sysntax properly ? Can you post 3 cat /etc/rpc ?

Last few lines of #cat/etc/rpc is as given, the last line was added by me:

automountd 100099
ttdbserver 100083
cmsd 100068 dtcalendar
ipmhd 312345 netx

rpcinfo or rpcinfo -s (consolidate statistics) will show registered RPC informations only.
