      <description>Hi friend, &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;        I am new in HP-UX . So i m trying to restart my network. Can any body tell whats the command for that. I have already check my lan card working or not using &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;  ifconfig lan0 up &lt;BR /&gt;its showing lan is clamied.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Next Question is where is the configuration file for DNS. IS it the same procedure as wiith Redhat linux . &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt; Question No 3: How can i install pacakges like postfix to configure mail server in HP-UX&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Mridul Dutta</description>

      <description>Hi Mridul,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;I am on the same boat as urs, new to UNIX world... can't help you with question 1 &amp;amp; 2.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Question 3&lt;BR /&gt;==================&lt;BR /&gt;I think &lt;A href="http://hpux.connect.org.uk/" target="_blank"&gt;http://hpux.connect.org.uk/&lt;/A&gt; is a nice place to get various depots for various softwares and install them using &lt;BR /&gt;swinstall -s \&lt;ABSOLUTEPATH of="" your="" depot=""&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;- Sumeet.&lt;/ABSOLUTEPATH&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi Mridul,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;to restart network you can try &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/net start&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For dns, if you mean set dns on your server, i suggest to perform&lt;BR /&gt;set_parms&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;regards</description>

      <description>Hi Mridul ,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;System IP addresses are configured in &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/etc/rc.config.d/netconf file .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/net start/stop can be used to start /stop the networking subsystem.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For configuring DNS cleint use &lt;BR /&gt;/etc/resolv.conf &amp;amp; /etc/nsswitch.conf file .&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;For setting up mail, we are updating /etc/mail/sendmail.cf and start/stop mail services using &lt;BR /&gt;/sbin/init.d/sendmail start/stop.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;thx,&lt;BR /&gt;bl.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;</description>
