    <description>How many disks were in the oracle disk group before reboot?&lt;BR /&gt;Have you tried a force import? &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vxdg -f import oracle&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Also strange that it looks like you have 2 rootdgs? One imported and one not......whats the deal with that one?</description>

      <description>vxvm 3.5 losing configurations after restart.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;the vxconfigd is running.Once i have created a new diskgroup .I am able to see the dg and able to make newvolumes anslo.But if I am restarted the server.All the configuration are going except for rootdg.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Please help me</description>

      <description>Hi,&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Diskgroup configurations for veritas are all held on the disk headers. Are you sure the disk group has just not imported after reboot??&lt;BR /&gt;what does vxdisk -o alldgs list show?</description>

      <description>See the below out put it shows the disks belongs to the DG but wile i am trying to import i am getting the below eror.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@nobby /]# vxdg import oracle&lt;BR /&gt;vxvm:vxdg: ERROR: Disk group oracle: import failed: Disk for disk group not found&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Pls find the vxdisk listing&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@nobby /]# vxdisk -o alldgs list&lt;BR /&gt;DEVICE       TYPE      DISK         GROUP        STATUS&lt;BR /&gt;c17t0d1      simple    -            -            LVM&lt;BR /&gt;c17t6d2      simple    -            -            LVM&lt;BR /&gt;c17t6d3      simple    -           (oracle)      online&lt;BR /&gt;c17t6d4      simple    -           (rootdg)      online&lt;BR /&gt;c17t6d5      simple    -           (test)        online&lt;BR /&gt;c17t6d6      simple    -            -            online&lt;BR /&gt;c17t6d7      simple    disk01       rootdg       online&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>[root@nobby /]# vxdg -f import oracle&lt;BR /&gt;vxvm:vxdg: ERROR: Disk group oracle: import failed: Unexpected kernel error in configuration update&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;It is showing the eror.only ne disk is in oracle.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Another rootdg in due to the reinitialization of vxvm.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;One more thig nw i just created a new dg and deported.and tryied to import it is showing error&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;[root@nobby /]# vxdg -n newname import test1&lt;BR /&gt;vxvm:vxdg: ERROR: Disk group test1: import failed: Disk for disk group not found&lt;BR /&gt;</description>

      <description>Hi , &lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;     Pls try the following....&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;vxconfigd -k &lt;BR /&gt;vxdctl enable&lt;BR /&gt;then try &lt;BR /&gt;vxdg -C -f import &lt;DGNAME&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;if any issues, pls provide  vxdisk -s list as well&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/DGNAME&gt;</description>
