      <description>Hi:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;This sounds like the device file is missing (which is what the error and error number say).&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Do:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;# ls -l /dev/vg02&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If the device file(s) are missing, you could try a 'vgexport' and then a 'vgimport'.&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;Regards!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;...JRF...</description>

NOw see if they are "claimed" in "ioscan -fnC disk".&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If yes..run:&lt;BR /&gt;#vgscan -pav&lt;BR /&gt;(This is only preview mode. No changes will be made to system.) And see which disks comes up under vg00.&lt;BR /&gt;If it is different from those in /etc/lvmtab, take backup of original lvmtab and run:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;#vgscan -av&lt;BR /&gt;to recreate lvmtab (only after taking backup of lvmtab).</description>

      <description>i have replaced the scsi cable and geting a stream of errors:&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lv_readvgdats: couldn't read VGDA 1 header and trailer from disk H/W path 8/12.2.1 (error =5)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;lv_readvgdats: couldn't read VGDA 2 header and trailer from disk H/W path 8/12.2.1 (error =5)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;LVM: PV 0 has been returned to VG [6]&lt;BR /&gt;LVM: vg[6] pvnum=0 (dev_t=0x1f002100) is powerfailed&lt;BR /&gt;LVM: performed a switch of Lun ID = 0 (pv = 0x2f224000), from raw device 0x1f001100 (with priority: ..)&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;it is an endless loop !!&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;can any one kindly advice</description>
