Tell me how to check LAN card speed in hp-ux 11i.

lanadmin -x (PPA from lanscan)

Actually, it's "lanadmin -x (ppa number)"

"lanadmin -X" is used to set parameters.

to see the lan number:
netstat -in
# netstat -in
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Coll

to get the crd # :
lanscan
Hardware Station Crd Hdw Net-Interface NM MAC HP-DLPI DLPI

to get the speed:
lanadmin -sx 0

lanadmin will also provide a TUI menu that will walk you through selecting the card and viewing the stats, speed included

You can also use SAM - It will display all the information you need

lanadmin -x 0
(0 - is Zero for lan0, 1 for lan1 etc..)
lanadmin -s 0 ( s for speed)
Speed = 100000000

Hi Anit ,

1. Find out the Lans PPA no.
# lanscan

2. lanadmin -s PPAno.
i.e
# lanadmin -s 0 [ where 0 is PPA no. ]

Output will be like this :
# lanadmin -s 0
Speed = 10000000

( 10000000= 10MB )
-------------------------------------------

Or
# lanadmin -x 0

Current Config = 10 Full-Duplex AUTONEG
