Hi

This problem comes basically due to a communication mismatch occuring between the lan NIC and the switch port. Check the speed, duplex mode etc on switch side and put the same on the server side. For eg: put it as 100Mbps, full duplex and with auto negociation off. Make the same config on NIC side also.

This can also come if your NIC was in use and the cable was removed and some kind of traffic is still trying to send data.

Have u rebooted the server after this problem?

Regards
CS

Check the configuration if the NIC:

lanadmin -x <LAN number="">

Then let the network ppl check the configuration of the hub/switch and make sure it's the same.

If not, change the witch configuration or servers with "lanadmin -X". It will freeze the network for 10 seconds.

Alex.</LAN>

Standard message, any link link is lost on the NIC.

There is no real need to do anything unless network performance or applications are effected.

SEP
